Halloween has returned. And after twenty years, so has the evil that refuses to die.
This week on the Scary Spirits podcast, Karen and Greg celebrate Halloween by confronting Halloween H20: Twenty Years Later, the 1998 horror sequel starring Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode. Two decades have passed since that terrible Halloween night, but time has done nothing to silence the shadow of Michael Myers.
Pour yourself a drink, check the locks, and join Karen and Greg as they revisit Halloween H20, discussing its place in the legendary Halloween horror franchise, Jamie Lee Curtis’s return as Laurie Strode, and the movie’s late-’90s slasher atmosphere.
And because no Halloween celebration at Scary Spirits is complete without a cocktail, they’re pairing the movie with a special themed creation: the Screamsicle cocktail.
Twenty years can change a person. It can bury memories. It can convince you that the nightmare is finally over.
But evil has waited before.
And on Halloween night, it always seems to find its way home.
Screamsicle Cocktail Recipe
• 1 1/2 oz whipped cream vodka
• 1 1/2 oz orange vodka
• 4 oz orange juice
• 1 splash cream
• 1 splash grenadine
• black sugar
Instructions
- Rim edge of glass with black sugar and set aside.
- In an ice filled glass add whipped cream vodka, orange vodka and orange juice. Shake well.
- Strain mix over crushed ice into rimmed glass and add a splash of grenadine, cream and a marshmallow ghost garnish.

A Brief Synopsis: Laurie Strode, now the dean of a Northern California private school with an assumed name, must battle the Shape one last time, as the life of her own son hangs in the balance.
