A Brief Synopsis: Strange and creepy happenings beset an average California family, the Freelings — Steve, Diane, teenaged Dana, eight-year-old Robbie, and five-year-old Carol Ann — when ghosts commune with them through the television set. Initially friendly and playful, the spirits turn unexpectedly menacing, and, when Carol Ann goes missing, Steve and Diane turn to a parapsychologist and eventually an exorcist for help.

Some of the topics discussed and highlights of this episode include:

  • Greg works in a reference to the rock band “Rush” (he missed the opportunity to reference “Iron Maiden”).
  • Remember when they used to play the “Star Spangled Banner” when the TV stations went off the air for the day?
  • Karen tells us all about the Golden Retriever dog breed.
  • We learn what a clairvoyant is.
  • Did you know that sleepwalking may be genetic?
