It’s Thanksgiving time, and Karen is in the mood for a bad movie. This week, she’s chosen the cult classic “ThanksKilling” for our viewing pleasure. Will it be so bad that it’s good? Or will it just be plain awful? Tune in to find out! No Thanksgiving celebration would be complete without a festive cocktail. In this episode, we’ll tell you how to make a delicious Pumpkin Martini, a fall cocktail that is cozy and creamy, with pumpkin pie spice and a crunchy graham cracker rim. So grab your favorite blanket, pour yourself a Pumpkin Martini, and join us for a fun-filled Thanksgiving celebration as we watch “ThanksKilling” and discuss all things Thanksgiving-related. Below is the drink recipe that Karen discovered on acouplecooks.com.
Pumpkin Martini Recipe
• 2 oz vodka
• 1/2 oz heavy cream
• 1/2 oz (to 1 oz) pure maple syrup
• 2 tbsp canned pumpkin puree
• 1/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice
• 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
• graham crackers, for the rim
Instructions:
- Prepare the rim: Crush a graham cracker with your fingers, and place it on a plate. On another plate, add a small pool of maple syrup. Run the rim of a martini glass in the maple syrup first, rotating the glass so the rim is evenly coated. Then roll the rim in the crushed graham crackers until evenly coated.
- Shake the drink: Place all ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Add a handful of ice and shake until cold. Strain the drink into the prepared martini glass.
