Greg has finally bought into Karen’s belief that February is the “month of love”. Continuing on that theme, Greg has chosen the 1935 film “The Black Cat” for our viewing pleasure. Join Greg and Karen as they discuss the film while they enjoy a “Black Cat Cocktail”. Greg found the recipe below on justapinch.com.

Black Cat Cocktail Recipe

• 1 oz blue curacao
• 1 oz vodka
• 3 oz lemon lime soda
• 1 oz cranberry juice
• lime juice
• lime twist for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Fill a shaker halfway with ice.
  2. Add curacao, vodka and lime juice.
  3. Shake until mixed well.
  4. Add soda and stir.
  5. Pour cranberry juice into a tall glass.
  6. Over the back of a spoon, gently strain the mixed ingredients over the cranberry juice, being careful not to completely mix the two for presentation.
  7. Serve with a cocktail stirrer and a lime twist for garnish.

A Brief Synopsis: After a road accident in Hungary, the American honeymooners Joan and Peter and the enigmatic Dr Werdegast find refuge in the house of the famed architect Hjalmar Poelzig, who shares a dark past with the doctor.
