Because werewolves are cool, Greg has chosen the 1961 Hammer film “The Curse of The Werewolf” starring Oliver Reed for our feature presentation this week. Join Greg and Karen as they discuss the film while they enjoy a “Gladiator Blood & Sand” cocktail. The recipe that Greg found on differentdrummer.cc is below.

Gladiator Blood & Sand Cocktail Recipe

• 1 oz amaretto liqueur
• 1 oz peach-flavored bourbon liqueur
• 1 oz orange juice
• 1 oz lemon-lime soda, such a Sprite

Instructions:

  1. Stir amaretto liqueur, bourbon liqueur, orange juice, and lemon-lime soda together in a glass.
  2. Enjoy.

A Brief Synopsis: A man with brutal and macabre origins, Leon Corledo was raised in the home of Don Alfredo Corledo, his kind and loving adopted father. When he leaves Don Alfredo to find work, Leon discovers that he has increasingly violent urges. Although these tendencies are calmed by Leon’s love for the beautiful Christina, he ultimately cannot contain his curse and transforms into a werewolf, terrorizing the Spanish countryside.
