Karen, wanting to switch it up after last week’s excellent movie, had the yearning to watch a classic “Bee-Movie” this week. Thus she has chosen “The Wasp Woman” from 1959 for our viewing pleasure. Join Greg and Karen as they discuss the film while they enjoy a “Stinger” cocktail. The recipe that Karen found on thespruceeats.com is below.
Stinger Cocktail Recipe
• 1 3/4 oz brandy
• 3/4 oz white creme de menthe
Instructions:
- Gather the ingredients.
- Pour the ingredients into an old-fashioned glass over crushed ice.
- Stir well.
- Serve and enjoy.
A Brief Synopsis: A cosmetics queen is transformed into a murderous monster after she uses an insect chemical to preserve her beauty.
Some of the topics discussed and highlights of this episode include:
- Karen teaches all about the history of the Stinger cocktail.
- Karen tells us all about bee keeping and “smoking” them.
- There is quite a bit of discussion on ageism and cosmetic companies.
- Just how much is a 1960 Ford Falcon Ranchero worth today?

Our rating of the film:
This movie was so bad that it took us 4 cocktails to get through it.
